Health Occupational Students of America (HOSA) is an organization which allows students to explore their interests in the field of health sciences. The organization holds a competition every year with events ranging from leadership events such as Prepared Speaking to emergency preparedness events such as CPR/First Aid. Competitions first occur at the regional level, then state, then nationals. Students across the country and around the world participate in HOSA since the competition substantially develops and requires utilization of a range of skills, such as leadership, teamwork, writing, memorization, research, and problem solving. Conferences, leadership positions, and scholarships are also offered by HOSA. As an expansion from the already massive program, our HOSA chapter dedicates part of its time to volunteering and other similar activities designed to help our members find their fitting career in health.
